Configuration rules
Validate product configurations so quotes are buildable.
Configuration rules ensure product combinations are valid — flagging incompatible or incomplete configurations so a quote can’t be built incorrectly.
Using configuration
- Define configuration rules for products that have options/dependencies.
- When building a quote, the Configuration step checks the selection and surfaces Configuration Issues if something is invalid.
- Resolve issues until you see the configuration is valid (View Config shows the resolved setup and Config Cost).
Catching invalid configurations at quote time prevents un-fulfillable orders downstream.
