Converting a lead to a deal/contact

Promote a qualified lead into a deal, contact and account.

When a lead is qualified, convert it so it enters your sales pipeline as a Deal, with the person stored as a Contact and the organization as an Account.

Steps

  1. Open the lead and choose Convert.
  2. In the conversion dialog confirm the Account Name and Contact Name (and Contact Role).
  3. Create the deal: set Deal Name, Amount, Closing Date, Pipeline and Stage.
  4. Confirm the Source (for example Website, Referral, Social Media, Trade Show, Partner, Cold Call, Email Campaign or Other).
  5. Confirm to convert — the deal is created and the contact/account are linked.

Bulk conversion

You can convert several qualified leads at once using the bulk lead conversion option from the Leads list.

Conversion carries the lead’s details forward, so complete the lead’s company and contact info before converting.
