CPQ overview

Configure, price and quote complex products with rules and approvals.

CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) builds quotes for configurable products with automated pricing, discounts and approval workflows. A quote has Line Items with a Line Total, a Pricing Summary, applied discounts, and a status that can require approval before it’s sent.

The CPQ building blocks

Quotes — built in the Quote Builder from products, with Configuration, Pricing and Discounts.
Pricing Rules — tiered/volume/dynamic pricing applied automatically.
Discounts — managed and applied (with stacking/coupon rules).
Approvals — quotes and pricing route for sign-off when thresholds are hit.
Templates — branded quote layouts.
Bundles & Configuration rules — group and validate product combinations.

Quote statuses include Draft, Pending Approval, Approved and Expired.
