Creating & assigning tasks

Create tasks and assign them to teammates.

Create a task

  1. Use Quick Create → New Task or add a task from a record (lead, deal, contact, company).
  2. Set the task name (“Set a Task name”).
  3. Pick Assignees (Assigned to), a Due Date, a Priority, and a Status.
  4. Optionally add Subtasks (each with a “Subtask title”).
  5. Save.

Working tasks

Open Task Details to edit, complete, or break work into subtasks. Update Status as you progress so dashboards reflect reality.

Attaching tasks to a record keeps the to-do in context on that lead/deal/contact.
