Lead scoring
Score leads automatically so your team works the hottest ones first.
Lead scoring assigns each lead a numeric score from rules you define, then classifies leads as Hot, Warm or Cold based on thresholds. Higher scores surface your most engaged prospects.
How it works
- You create scoring rules — each adds or subtracts points when a condition on a lead field is met.
- A lead’s points sum to its score.
- Thresholds map the score to a classification (Hot / Warm / Cold).
Set up scoring
- Open Lead Scoring.
- Add scoring rules (see “Creating a scoring rule” below for the exact fields).
- Set classification thresholds (see “Lead Classification”).
- Choose global settings: Recalculate scores daily, Score decay, and Send notifications on score changes.
Creating a scoring rule
- Choose to add a criteria/rule.
- Give it a Rule Name (“Enter a name for this scoring rule…”).
- Pick the Field to evaluate, an Operator, and a Value (some operators need “No value needed”).
- Set the points: Add Points or Subtract Points with a Points amount.
- Save the rule.
Lead Classification
Under Lead Score Classification, set the Hot Lead Threshold, Warm Lead Threshold and Cold Lead Threshold. Leads are labeled Hot / Warm / Cold as their score crosses these.
Turn on Recalculate scores daily so scores stay current as leads change; Score decay lowers stale leads over time. You can also apply scoring during lead import.
